Janie Bradford was with Motown in the early days and stayed for 25 years. Ms. Bradford began her career at Motown as a receptionist. Under the guidance of Berry Gordy, she grew from a young woman who liked to write poems into a songwriter who could compose catchy lyrics.
She was honored in the Women of Motown series, presented in conjunction with Women's History Month 2021. Each day a new, original portrait was revealed from March 1 through March 31, celebrating the featured woman's contribution to Motown's success.
The portraits are now available for purchase.
